It was a low key Easter for us. The weather was absolutely perfect! We got to enjoy the day with family who were in town which was nice.
Easter morning...
Last year (2012):
This year (2013):
Where's Emmeline's Easter basket?
I can remember having to search for and find my easter basket every year on Easter Sunday so we decided this would be our tradition with our kids too!
This year, Emmeline got an easel and some new art supplies.
Walking to a neighbor's house for an egg hunt!
Testing out some of her fun new art supplies!
Judah and his new Easter basket. Testing out how much it can hold for next year (hee hee)
...how cute is he?!?!?!
Me and my little buddy.
Daddy and little Jude getting some vitamin D!
Emmeline had such a great time with "Kenzi" and "Wiley". They stayed with us for a week over their Spring Break. It was so fun having them around! She is still asking about them.
Bedtime songs
Playing airplane with Mackenzie before Easter brunch.
Goofin' around with the girls...this is Emmeline's signature face!
Grandma Barbie (my mom) came out for a "Spring Break" too! Not sure it was much of a break. She had a little shadow named Emmeline and helped a lot around the house (THANK YOU!!!). We enjoyed having her around. Emmeline would ask for "gamma" the minute she got up in the morning and after nap time too. She wanted "gamma" to do everything with her and help her with everything. It was so cute to observe. They have a very special bond now.
This is Emmeline helping "gamma" shop for a new bra. Priceless.
Painting with "Gamma"
(FIRST PONYTAIL!!!! So long, MULLET! ha)
This picture is just stunning of her. It made my heart flutter. She is so joyful, so beautiful. And, she looks like a BIG girl.
Stories at bedtime with "Gamma"
Grandma got lots of giggles and smiles out of this guy...
Checking out this so called "chub"...
It was a great visit. Looking forward to seeing more of them and other friends/family in July (in Michigan!).
Just some random recent pics...
A
(Following an ant! "Look, Momma! Ant!")
(this girl wants to walk anywhere BUT on the sidewalk...taking the road less traveled...ha!)
(LOVE this shot. I was rocking and nursing Jude and asked Emmeline to pick out some books for us to read after I was finished...here she is patiently and quietly reading. Made me feel proud and grateful for my little ones. Love her!)
(apparently not going to be a vegetarian like mom? ha!)
Emmeline just adores her brother.
Taking up soccer like daddy?...
My loves.
